FSSAI is a legislative body established under the FSS (Food Safety and Standards) Act 2006. FSSAI is short for Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. Objectives of FSSAI Registration

FSSAI Director calls on Governor
During a campaign to promote awareness about the importance of food safety and nutrition in India, the Eastern and Northeastern regional FSSAI director calls on Governor Shri. BD Mishra of Arunachal Pradesh at the Raj Bhavan in Itanagar on April 20, 2021. The FSSAI director, Mr. Pramod Dahitule, and the Governor discussed for manufacturing, storage, distribution, and sale of food products. They also engaged in a conversation revolving around the importance of ensuring the safety of ingredients, preservatives to safeguard public health and safety.
The Governor, Shri. BD Mishra urged Mr. Pramod Dahitule for the FSSAI to take on the mantle of making the general public and consumers in Arunachal Pradesh aware of the importance of food safety and nutrition and food quality standards. The Governor also requested the FSSAI director to facilitate training programs for manufacturers, traders, hotels & restaurants, and other entrepreneurs associated with the production and distribution of food products in Arunachal Pradesh.
Officials firmly laid down stress on the fact that protecting consumer health should be the prime concern and utmost priority of entrepreneurs engaged in the food business. He added that an FSSAI office in Arunachal Pradesh would help provide scientific advice and technical support to the state governments in matters related to food safety and nutrition.
