Today, India has registered a record single-day hike of 9,887 new COVID-19 infected cases with 294 casualties. This has resulted in the nationwide Coronavirus infection tally of 2,40,932. Moreover, the death toll has reached to 6,720 in total.
This is indeed an alarming state and we all wish that India must never enter the top echelons with regard to the Coronavirus infected cases. Let’s now understand the situation in detail.

Measures to Stop the Spread
During this alarming stage, we all wish that India must never enter hold the top ranks in terms of COVID-19. The government has taken several measures to further Stop the Spread of coronavirus.
- The government, with the help of the Textile Committee, has boosted the production of PPE kits that will help to Stop the Spread of coronavirus. Currently, India is the 2nd largest manufacturer of PPE kits.
- India is rigorously working on the development of the Corona vaccine in order to eradicate the coronavirus disease.
- Delhi government has recently launched the Delhi Corona App, to provide the realtime update on the availability of beds at all Delhi Corona hospitals, where total COVID-19 cases have crossed 20,000.
- The government is assisting the suppliers & manufacturers of PPE Equipment having GeM registration to list their product on the GeM portal so that the required of PPE kits can be fulfilled.
- Health Ministry has released the SOP for opening public places as a part of Unlock 1.0
