Another Good news amid COVID-19 is that International flights are likely to resume by mid-July, say sources.

Impact of COVID-19 on International flights

As we all know, COVID-19 caused the crisis to all nations in different ways. India is also in one of the most affected countries by Covid-19. The economic sector in India is at its lowest level ever as Covid-19 worst hits the aviation and hospitality sectors.

Therefore resuming International Flights may do some good to the nation’s economic sector. In this article, we will read about the Government’s decision about International Flights that will begin around mid-July.

The right time to begin International flights

The Government expects that it will reach 50% domestic air traffic volume around July 15. Only then will it be better to initiate International Flights.

Union Civil Aviation Minister Mr. Hardeep Singh Puri sais in this regard-

“Seeing this trend, the Government may increase the number of domestic flights from next week. According to his estimation, this will also benefit to increase domestic air traffic volume.”

About 2,75,000 Indians, who are stranded in foreign countries during COVID-19 Lockdown, are back to the country in flights and ships.

Importantly, the domestic flights have already resumed since May 25.
